Transformation Episode 3: Corina Paun Searching in Romania to Serving God in Papua New Guinea

TE3

We all have questions. Some seek answers, or rather, demand them. Others, they come to terms with never really knowing succiciently. Meet Corina Paun, one that subscribes to the former, a bright and enthusiastic survivor of life, and more importantly, believer in Christ.

This is such a fantastic testimony to God’s tremendous power to uproot, change, and stay good for all this lifetime, and the next. Listen as Corina goes from curious youngster in communist Romania, to born again Christian in the U.S., to a bible translating mission in the wilderness of Papua New Guinea. She details her struggles with physical abuse, worldly success, dealing with winning the trust of the natives in Papua New Guinea, and her role as a mother when it comes to mission work.

I found Corina so relatable. My story doesn’t involve the physical places that she describes, but spiritually I felt so much in common with her. I hope you do to.

You can support Corina by visiting her blog and donating to her ForAFriend page.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-13 (KJV)

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Philippians 2:13

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Where will God take us? What does He command of us? Are we ready for His direction, even if He guides us to places we’ve never imagined visiting, nonetheless moving to? Sandi Horen’s experience is so unique, and such a testament to God knowing what’s really best for us.

Listen below to how a West Coast probation officer ended up teaching English on the African island of Madagascar, and how it almost all ended up crumbling to pieces, before God put it all back together in a way only He can.
